This week is the second Dine Originals Restaurant Week and lucky for you, I have been given a $25 gift voucher to giveaway on Hungrywoolf.

Dine Originals is a group of 40 Independently owned restaurants, varying from casual to fine dining. They are mainly in Columbus but include some out of town restaurants such as the Inn at Cedar Falls in Hocking Hills. You may remember that from my last competition.

As you can tell from the ‘Best of’ list on Hungrywoolf many of my favorite restaurants in Columbus are Dine Originals. Personal favorites include Alana’s, Pistacia Vera, The Refectory, G Michael’s, Rigsby’s and Basi Italia.

This week I took advantage of some of the Restaurant Week lunch offers and had 3 course lunch at Deepwood and a sandwich lunch on the patio at Cafe Corner. This afternoon I am going to Pistacia Vera for a birthday tea. I can’t wait.

The next Dine Originals on my wish-list to try is the Worthington Inn, one of the restaurants that does a great job promoting and sourcing local ingredients. Where is the next on your list?

To enter the competition please post a comment saying which Dine Originals restaurant you would most like to visit and why? It can be somewhere you have always wanted to try, or a restaurant that you have previous visited and long to return to.

The competition deadline is Sunday 13th at midnight – the end of Restaurant Week. I will select at winner randomly from all of the entries that give a restaurant and a reason to dine there.

My Dine Originals spot is Deepwood, for the Monkfish entree. It’s not something I normally get to eat.

  2. The place I’d most like to visit is The Top steakhouse, for two reasons: one, I’ve never been to a classic steakhouse, and two, I couldn’t afford to eat steak there under normal circumstances!

  3. I would most like to visit G. Michael’s. I’ve never been there, and I have heard so many good things about it on the internet. Plus, the trout dish sounds great and is likely to be at least semi-sustainable, something I try to watch out for when eating fish.

  4. I’d most like to try Alana’s. My wife and I moved to Columbus recently and despite the consistently stellar reviews, we have not yet been there. Plus, the Ohio Valley Tomato Stack with Lump Crab, Shaved Vidalias, Chopped Amish Egg, Cheddar and Cabernet Buttermilk Dressing sounds too good to be true!

  5. I want to try Deepwood! I have heard of great beer and whiskey tastings there, and the food always sounds so unique and delicious.

  6. I would love to visit one of the far from Columbus restaurants I have never been to – Inn at Cedar Falls or Shaw’s.

  7. I would like to visit Cafe’ Corner so I can ride my bike to your neighborhood and enjoy lunch outdoors with you, my friend 🙂

  8. I’m interested in trying Wildflower Cafe. I think their RW menu looks really good! Also, The Refectory. It’s always been a little intimidating to someone like me who has very plain food tastes. But this seems like a good week to give it a shot!

  9. I still can’t believe I haven’t tried Alana’s. I feel ridiculous for not having been there yet.
    SOON!

  10. Still haven’t been to Basi Italia, and it seems like I should have been.

I’d love to try Basi Italia to see if it is as good as the Italian places I miss so much in NY.

  12. Where would I like to try – Alana’s – why – hmmm, because we share a name, yes but also because everytime I look at her menus I want to try them…

  13. I would most like to go back to Basi Italia. I ate there with my husband and friends a few years ago and it was just delicious (and perfect mild patio weather), but we somehow always end up passing it over when we have an occasion to eat out for a special meal.

  14. I’d love to go to Alana’s, it’s one of the restaurants I haven’t visited this Restaurant Week. 🙂

  15. I went to DeepWood earlier this week and it was great. Would’ve preferred Alana’s, but wanted to try someplace I’d never been instead.

  16. I want to try Alana’s because the food seems to be fresh, local and unique! Plus we’ve heard great things from a hungry woolf
