Give the gift of a Columbus Brew Adventures Tour

Many of our local breweries have Christmas ales or seasonal beers for growler sized stocking stuffers but let’s go a little more in depth to save you some running around town. And of course, you have spirits and mead to think of as well.

Barleys Ale House #1

Barley’s has Christmas Ale on tap for the season which is available for growler sales.  Barley’s also has a Logo Pint Glass Promotion. Anyone who fills a growler of Christmas Ale from 12/22-24 gets a free logo pint glass. (Limit 2 per customer). If you act quickly, you can order a whole keg to make you the toast of your holiday party.  Interested in a keg of holiday cheer? E-mail here. Angelo@BarleysBrewing.com

Barley’s will be open until 5 pm on Christmas Eve. They offer a gift card deal, buy $100.00 worth of cards and get $20.00 Bonus Card. This promotion ends December 31st.

Barleys Smokehouse & Brew Pub

The Smokehouse has a great gift card promotion, buy $100.00 worth of cards and get a $20.00 Bonus Card until Christmas Eve. Also, a couple of tickets to their fifteenth annual Robert Burns Dinner and Robert Burns Scottish Export Ale Tapping would make a great gift for under the tree.  The Smokehouse is also a wonderful spot for holiday parties and office lunches.

Columbus Brewing Company Restaurant

Looking for something beer themed – but non alcoholic, how about one of the specialty sauces created by the kitchen at Columbus Brewing Company Restaurant?  Choose from smoked chile sauce, Key Lime BBQ sauce, Fire Hot Sauce or Spark Hot Sauce – locally made and great to pair with beer-based menus.

CBC Restaurant have a good gift card promotions as well.  Receive a $10 card when you purchase one for $5o or get a $25 card when you purchase a card valued at $100.

North High Brewing

Want to give the gift of beer?  How about brewing.  The best and easiest way  is to have some assistance from North High Brewing. You can sign up yourself and/or some friends for a brewing session (cost ranges from $170 to $220) depending on what you choose to brew. You can book a brewing session online or drop in to  purchase a gift card to give the gift of brewing and let your gift receiver choose their own date.

Wolf’s Ridge Brewing and Restaurant

Wolf’s Ridge is a great spot for a holiday lunch or dinner.  Check in with them for reservations or a gift certificate. They recently added several of their own beers to the roster so if you want to buy a beer you know your hard to buy for beer lover has not tried – there is a string chance they have not tried the latest from Wolf’s Ridge.

We received this message from Wolf’s Ridge. “Since opening in late September, Wolf’s Ridge Brewing has been working hard to get our taps filled, and we’re happy to say we now have five of our beers on tap: Little Red Riding Ale, Harvest Wheat, Knotty Brown, Ridge Trail Pale Ale, and a new holiday seasonal, Duke’s Holiday Special Brown. We’ve been joined by brewer Ryan Heastings, who has a Stout and a Rogenbier in the pipeline (should be ready mid-December!), as well as a Cream Ale. Ryan comes to us from the Charleston Brewing Company, in Charleston, West Virginia. We are also rolled out a new winter menu on December 9th, so stop in for some great seasonal fare and WRB beers soon! We will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s day. Keep an eye on our Facebook  page for a special New Year’s Eve dinner! Happy Holidays from WRB!”

Watershed Distillery

Here is a message we received from our pals at Watershed Distillery.

“We do have brand new gift cards now available in any denomination and can be purchased in our bottle shop. Each is letterpressed in black ink on chipboard, with the amount and gift card number handwritten, and it comes with a kraft paper sleeve. Additionally, we’re offering a great gift wrap option – our handmade holiday wood crates are solid, unfinished wood with the Watershed Distillery logo screen printed in black ink on one side. Our bottles nestled into kraft paper shred and tied with a bow work for a number of gift giving situations, whether it be friends, family, clients or customers. Currently, gift wrapping is only an additional $5 (+tax) on top of the items you purchase. You can get a single bottle wrapped up or, if someone’s not sure what they’re looking for or would like to create a mix of Watershed items, we are happy to customize every gift!  We are here to help create gift giving magic 9am – 6pm. Call Evelyn at 614-357-1936 or email for more information at info@watersheddistillery.com.”

Middle West Spirits

Middle West Spirits (known to many as OYO) has a great assortment of gift options to choose from but what really sets them apart are their collaborations.  How about a bottle of Middle West’s bourbon paired with a pint of Middle West Whiskey Eggnog crafted by Jeni’s Ice Cream? Middle West Spirits has also teamed up with Chef Sawyer from Greenhouse Tavern to create a series of tavern vinegars, available at the distillery.

Finally, when it comes to holiday entertaining, in addition to impressing your guests with your support of our local craft distillers, feel secure in knowing you have great recipes to showcase your selections courtesy of Middle West Spirits. You can drop in to Middle West Spirits to create a perfect spirited gift for the holidays during normal business hours Monday to Friday.

Brothers Drake Meadery and Bar

Mead is older than Santa Claus.  For something different or as an alternative for the hard to buy for beer lover – try mead.  Brothers Drake offers gift cards and gift packs and their Apple Pie Mead is universally loved by even the most delicate palate.

The Ohio Taproom

If you’re traveling across the country and want to show off some local beer you might want to fill your growlers at The Ohio Taproom. Their unique counter-pressure fill system will give the beer a 90 day shelf life (far longer than the average growler) and they always have twenty great Ohio beers to choose from. And if you want more than beer, the Taproom has plenty of other Ohio crafted items to choose from including beef jerky, homemade pie from Honeykiss Bakery, OH! chips, salsas, shirts, ornaments and necklaces from State of Devotion, ohio-brewery shirts, mead, soda, wood coasters… and more.

Sideswipe Brewing

Last but not least, but definitely the newest, Sideswipe Brewing is the newest nano brewer on the block and you can find their first beer at some select stores in town.  Read this review from the Dispatch with details on where to find Elegant Hoodlum Smoked Stout.
